Motherhood Photography Sessions
A belly laugh, a gentle hug, a tiny hand held, that round cherub face, let’s cherish all this, and more, in a special session where you as a mom are the star of the show! Mommy and me photography sessions are among my favorite mini sessions that are offered here at Michelle Sailer Photography.
As a mom myself, there is rarely a time that I am actually in front of the camera, and I know you feel the same way. Motherhood sessions are to capture that sweet bond you have with your child(ren), so you can remember it always. Those small sweet hands in yours, those fleeting snuggles as they grow, the way they look at you in admiration, and those precious giggles, are some of what we would all like to bottle up. Let me do that for you! Lets capture those moments, we, as moms, deserve a day thats just about us and our love for our babies!
Motherhood Photography Sessions | What to Wear
The question I most often get in sessions, especially for moms, is, “What should I wear for my photography session?” The most important thing in deciding what you should wear, during a mommy and me photography session, is comfort. I want you to be comfortable. I want you to be able to embrace the sweet moments and not even think about what you have on during the session. We want to start with moms outfit first and then work on littles to coordinate because, if mom is feeling her best, she can enjoy the session time much more.
Lets make a checklist to think about.
- Think about what colors look best on you? Do certain colors wash you out?
- We all have parts of us that we wish we could change, what are your areas that you don’t care for? Find something that flatters those areas. For some it may be sleeves or something more flowing. Also, keep in mind that I will work those angles like a boss, to help you be the best you that you can be!
- What is the location of the photography session? This is important, too! Michelle Sailer Photography is hosting mommy and me sessions at The Willow this year, it is a very whimsical and classic location. Neutrals and soft pastel colors will look stunning there.
- Lastly, its time to coordinate! This part can be tricky. After you have chosen your outfit, find a subtle pattern that flows well or a solid color that works a strong color palette. Don’t be afraid to ask me for suggestions! I love this part of planning!
