When To Take Newborn Photos

Typically, I recommend scheduling your newborn baby photo shoot for around two weeks after your due date. In my experience the absolutely ideal time, for this newborn photographer at least, is between 6 and 14 days old. 

If you want your baby’s sleepy and curly newborn demeanor to be photographed, try not to wait any longer than two weeks for their newborn session. 

When it comes to setting a date, I always ask my clients to reach out before giving birth to avoid any added stress in clearing your calendar. Also, my calendar is usually booked at least 3 months out, so it is best to pre-book your session at least 6 months in advance!
